2014: Failure of my quiz platform for teachers.
Difficulty selling to teachers + limited technical skills as it was my first-time side project.
2015: Failure of my mobile app for shared walks.
Clearly, people didn't need this, it took me a couple of months to figure this out. (hum)
2015 (again): Failure of my mobile app to notify users of nearby Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
I was exploiting a hack in the Pokémon Go servers, but they fixed it a few weeks after my launch.
2017: Failure of my first start-up, a community-focused, low-cost sports event organizer.
Unprofitable business model.
2019: Failure of my second startup, an automation platform for Instagram.
Instagram decided to shut our business down.
2020: Failure again of my second startup, we pivoted to TikTok and got the same (not happy) ending.
2020 (again): Failure of a platform to match influencers and restaurant owners.
Lack of market validation.
2020 (again and again): Failure of a platform for purchasing short videos from favorite influencers.
Lack of market validation. (Again!! You see a pattern, right?)
2020 (tough year lol): Failure of a daily motivating videos mobile app.
Lack of market validation, we were lost in pivot-hell...
And on and on...
2021 → 2 failures
2022 → 1 failure
2023 → 2 failures
At this point, you're probably wondering why I persisted despite all these failures.
The truth is that every failure is a myth, an illusion created by those who fear stepping off the beaten path.
Moreover, many projects have achieved success before being deemed "failures."
So, I don't look back to gaze at a path of regrets, but to admire a landscape of valuable lessons.
Today, I feel equipped, ready to take on new challenges! 💪🚀
