5 things I learned last week while doing research on employee recognition 🤯
1. Recognition is the number one driver of motivation. (ok, this one should be intuitive..)
2. (but not for everyone..) 81% of top executives say recognition is not a major strategic priority for their company. 🤦♂️
3. Performance, productivity, and employee engagement are 14% higher in companies with recognition programs.
4. The cost of employee turnover can be ridiculously high: a company with 10,000 employees can save up to $16.1 million in turnover costs annually. $16m!!
5. 68% of HR leaders state that employee recognition has a positive impact on retention, while 56% said such programs can also aid in recruitment.
