"A new employee spoke highly about your Slack apps, can we schedule a demo?"
We're getting more and more leads like this, pure word of mouth.
And honestly, WoM is the only explanation I have for our current growth.
Because all our recent initiatives flopped:
↳ Influencer marketing on LinkedIn ($15k burned)
↳ Social media content (countless hours gone)
↳ Cold emailing ($5k wasted)
↳ Paid ads ($20k down the drain)
And while SEO is growing, it still nowhere near WoM.
I think WoM might be our #2 growth channel, if not already #1.
How do I know?
Well... as you probably already know:
Most of our trials come from the Slack marketplace.
And we noticed people shifted from generic keywords to branded ones.
They no longer type:
"birthday bot" → they type "billy"
"random coffee" → "alfy"
"kudos" → "clappy"
Which means our branding is finally sticking.
I'm pumped about that, it shows the product's crazy good, but let's be real...
I still pray to the growth gods every day to find a second sustainable acquisition channel ^^'
