Company values are BS... 🤢
...unless it is explained how they manifest in day-to-day operations.
I have recently observed a trend among companies, where they are transforming their core values into "principles."
There exists a significant disparity between companies like Gitlab and Zapier, who meticulously document their values and principles, and others (whom I won't name) that simply state: Trust, Care & Grit.
What exactly does that mean? Should I care for my co-workers? Customers? Both?
How should "Care" be put into practice on a daily basis? How much care is too much?
👉 Company values should NOT be open to interpretation.
👉 Company values should be precisely defined.
