HRs deserve more than just a day of recognition... #HRProfessionalDay
HR gets a bad rap.
Let me tell you a story 🧵
I once worked at a company where the HR team was everyone's favorite scapegoat.
If anything went wrong, people blamed HR.
I mean, it's easy, right? They're the "rule enforcers."
But here's where we get it wrong.
HR is much more than that.
🔍 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗸 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝘆𝘁𝗵𝘀 🔍
« HR is just there to fire people. »
No, they're actually focused on retention and development.
« HR always sides with management. »
They're mediators, not puppets.
« HR doesn't really care. »
These folks juggle legal, ethical, and emotional issues daily.
« HR only enforces pointless policies. »
Policies exist to protect both employees and the company.
« Anyone can do HR. »
It’s a specialized field requiring deep knowledge and skills.
« HR ignores harassment complaints. »
They are legally and morally obligated to investigate.
We often overlook their role in culture, engagement, and growth.
Next time you slam HR, pause.
Realize they could be your biggest allies.
They’re not robots. They're people.
People who want the best for you and the company.
They deserve our appreciation, not just our complaints.
Happy #HumanResources Professional Day to all the HR folks in my network (and beyond!) 🎉
