“I’ll tell you my idea — but first, sign this NDA.”
Really?
Your app idea is NOT special.
It’s NOT unique.
And trust me, nobody is waiting to steal your “AI-powered Venmo clone.”
Think you’re being smart staying stealth?
All you’re doing is screaming insecurity.
Ideas are worth NOTHING.
Execution is EVERYTHING.
Investors don’t dismiss NDAs because they’re careless, they do it because they’ve already heard your AI-washed “Uber-for-X” pitch twenty times this month.
Here’s the truth:
If someone copies your startup and beats you, you didn’t lose to theft — you lost because you couldn’t execute.
I made this mistake early in my career.
I thought secrecy was protecting me, when in reality it just slowed me down.
Today with BuddiesHR, I share everything in the open — even our monthly revenue is sitting in my LinkedIn headline for everyone to see.
Less paranoia.
Less paperwork.
More building. More launching. More winning.
Ideas don’t build empires. Execution does.

FR, before AI I could've understood the NDA thing, but right now everyone has the same ideas at the same time.
Most of them even think that AI's going to do the whole thing for them, zero input, max. expectation ^^

I remember that one story from few years back that my friend told me. His buddy told him that he has this groundbreaking idea. My friend asked him about it so that guy took him to this remote location saying that he can tell him but he has to make sure that he didn't take his phone because Google is listening. In the end the idea was something connected to the toothpaste and he never even executed it.
