I've been working remotely since 2017 and I'm always searching for ways to improve my happiness and wellbeing.
Here are 2 "hacks" that have made a significant impact recently ⬇️
1. I stopped using Calendly.
Calendly left me constantly questioning my afternoons/evenings.
Will I be able to focus on my current task?
Will I finish at 5pm or 7pm?
Will it be free of calls?
Such a pain..
2. Real-time messaging: nice to have, but not essential.
I don't feel obligated anymore to answer any single message immediately.
I mute notifications in order to focus on my most important task of the day.
I think twice before sending a real-time message to someone.
Indeed, I am about to distract someone who is working hard.
Alternatively, I write down my thoughts in a document and discuss them during our next meeting or discussion.
I used to say, "Time is my most precious asset".
Now I really mean it 👊
