No VCs. No pitch decks.
Here are 5 life habits that got BuddiesHR to $30k+ MRR:
1/ Get the f*cking basics done.
Eat clean. (Bonus: intermittent fasting.)
Sleep well — not just “enough.”
Buy a sleep tracker, stop lying to yourself. I use Withings, but frankly, just get ANYTHING that shames you into better habits.
Train daily. Yes, daily.
1 hour. Push your VO2max until it HURTS. Build real strength.
No, walking your dog doesn’t count.
2/ Prioritize your loved ones, not profits.
If making money turns you into an asshole, what’s the flex?
I see founders with 7-figure months who can’t look their kids in the eye.
Dumbest trade in the world.
Time with your loved ones is leverage. (Ask anyone who’s lost it.)
3/ Personal > business goals.
Everyone jerks off to revenue targets. Guess what happens? You burn out.
Have goals that mean something to YOU.
Mine: run a marathon by EOY.
No revenue metric will save you from apathy.
4/ Guard your high-output hours like a wolf.
Your most productive 2 hours will make or break your month.
For me, it’s 8-10am.
Book meetings during your zone of genius?
Congrats, you played yourself.
If your calendar is open, you’re leaking profit.
5/ Flexible hours? Use them LITERALLY.
You’re not in corporate prison, so why recreate office misery from your living room?
Just because you burned Saturday doesn’t mean you owe corporate Monday.
My wife got a day off, today’s slack is chill? I’m OUT.
Enjoying life is a KPI.
Ignore it, and you’ll chase numbers forever.
This is how we run BuddiesHR.
It’s how I hit $30k+ MRR without burning my soul to ash.
Everyone’s looking for a smarter playbook.
But nobody wants to do the dull shit that actually works.
That’s why they’ll keep scrolling, and you’ll keep stacking.
Your habits ARE your margin.
