The average VC-backed founder is a modern-day slave.
I've been one of them.
We had raised $6M.
Recruited 15 people worldwide.
Everything looked great on LinkedIn.
But every day was 8:00 AM to midnight.
Constant Slack pings.
Meetings back to back.
Zero control over my schedule.
If my dog got sick, too bad.
If my girlfriend needed help, sorry.
If the AC broke, I was still on Zoom.
I didn't own my time.
And I barely owned my company, given we entered the VC race.
The wake-up call came with a founder conflict.
Brutal at first, but it gave me distance.
And clarity.
So I walked away.
Risked everything.
Started from scratch.
Today?
BuddiesHR is doing $30k+ MRR.
And I've got the life I wanted.
I work hard, but I'm free.
I train 1–2 hours per day.
I walk my dog 3 times.
I never miss a medical appointment for my wife's pregnancy.
I eat clean.
I show up for birthdays, for Mother's Day, for life.
Anyway, I'll have a better exit with $30k+ MRR
than most founders who raised $10M+.
