WTF is the « Great Place to Work » label? 😤
Ever wondered why some companies flaunt that shiny « Great Place to Work » label like a badge of honor?
Let me burst that bubble real quick.
Early in my career, I scored an internship at a company boasting this coveted label.
I was thrilled. Who wouldn't be?
Yet my experience was anything but "great."
⏳ Endless overtime
🔪 Backstabbing colleagues
⚖️ Zero work-life balance
Oh, and don't get me started on the so-called "free perks."
Free coffee doesn't compensate for mental anguish.
The atmosphere?
Toxic.
I vividly remember my supervisor treating meetings like medieval interrogations.
Feedback equaled beratement.
Help was a foreign concept.
These labels are just PR tools for luring unsuspecting talent.
They mask the reality.
Shiny on the outside, rotten on the inside.
Job seekers, beware. Don't get duped by glossy labels.
Look deeper.
Read employee reviews.
Ask questions during interviews.
Your mental well-being is worth more than any flashy accolade 🏆.
We need to call out these faux « Great Place to Work. »
Don't be fooled.
Question everything.
Demand better.
